I’ve been tagged by the fabulous Julie Fedderson and she even created a name with a badge for this meme. Way to go Julie. Thanks for the honor.
So the way of the game is to answer the 11 questions sent then pose your own 11 questions and pass it on to 11 unsuspecting bloggers. They in turn answer the questions and link back to the original post.
Here are Julie’s questions to me:
- Paper or plastic? Neither, I carry canvas bags in all vehicles.
- What cartoon do you still secretly enjoy watching? Road Runner and Wile E Coyote. That Man used to joke about starting up ACME Exhibits (trade show business).
- If you could pick up an instrument and immediately know how to play, what instrument would you choose? Piano. I took lessons once upon a time but it never stuck.
- What is the song that most defines your personality? I don’t know if this defines me or not but the title and the line “A promise lives within you now…” speak to me so I’m going with it
- What’s your anger style? (i.e. simmer and steam, etc.) I used to be a ‘bottle it until the cap blasts off’ type in all situations. Still am sometimes
but mostly, these days, I talk it out. - What do you think will be the downfall of modern society? Wow, so many possibilities. As a parent, I think we are vaccinating ourselves to the point our bodies won’t be able to fight the common cold. As a writer, LOL, the machines are going to take over.
- What is the best character name you’ve ever come across? I’m completely drawing a blank!
- What is your most bizarre beauty ritual? I’m pretty boring, just soap and moisturizer, and only use minimal mineral foundation.
- What is your favorite scent? Baking bread — yum — is such a comforting smell.
- Could your Significant Other identify you by just one body part, and if so, which one? That Man claims he could identify me by the left ta-ta, LOL. I’m still waiting on the why he thinks this. I think I need to set up a blind test…anyone want to be in the line up with me?
- What moment in your life would have won the $10,000 on America’s Funniest Home Videos? Perhaps the time my cousins, sister, and I were pretending to be a rock band. Our family van was the tour bus, my cousins’ house was the venue, and we run between the two as though screaming fans chased us. Multiple times. I can only imagine what the neighbors thought of five kids running, arms waving, as though chased by a swarm of killer bees!
This tag has been around the web quite a bit lately, heck this is my second go (you can see the first one HERE). I won’t tag y’all but invite you to answer in the comments. I can’t wait to read your answers!
Here are MY questions to you…
- If you were a Tarot card, which one would you be?
- What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why?
- What’s your favorite line or moment from a book or movie?
- Do you make your bed every morning or do you not see much point?
- If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
- E-books or paper?
- Do you have a tattoo? If so, what and where?
- What is an item on your ‘bucket list’?
- What’s the last book you couldn’t put down?
- Okay, be honest, how often do you wash your hair?
- What do you think people would be most shocked to discover about you?

Apr 17, 2012 @ 07:06:21
favorite characters name? DRACO MALFOY! such a good one
Apr 17, 2012 @ 07:14:34
Definitely a good one, I agree.
Apr 17, 2012 @ 07:24:15
Great answers Raylyn. I like these tag thingys as I get to know more about people. Love the left *** thing with your Man! Funny. I have to make the bed every morning. Hate an unmade bed. Nowadays I’m up so early that my hubby is still in it so have to rely on him making it. Not great! Learning to live with crappy bumpy-looking-duvet and wrinkled sheets. *sigh*
Apr 17, 2012 @ 07:39:42
What’s funnier about that is I asked and he replied via text message
I’m with you on hating the unmade bed so I usually make it after That Man has left the house, LOL.
Apr 17, 2012 @ 07:50:18
If you were a Tarot card, which one would you be? No clue! I would think one card couldn’t describe me
What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? That’s a toss up between Boston and Gettysburg. Boston just rocked! so much history. But I felt like I was home in Gettysburg, like I’d been away a long, long time and was going home.
What’s your favorite line or moment from a book or movie? So many! Yippee-ki-ay MF from Die Hard jumps out at me immediately. ADRIAN!!! is another.
Do you make your bed every morning or do you not see much point? I do, when the hubby isn’t still in it.
If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would it be and why? You’re going to make me choose one? I hate this question because I know I would totally either freeze up or be a blathering pile of incomprehensible speech and run the person off!
E-books or paper? Depends on my mood.
Do you have a tattoo? If so, what and where? Nope. Never could decide on anything I wanted on my body the rest of my life. And where it would go so a cute butterfly didn’t turn into a hideous dragon with the ravages of time.
What is an item on your ‘bucket list’? Travel Europe.
What’s the last book you couldn’t put down? Seduction by Brenda Joyce
Okay, be honest, how often do you wash your hair? Every day. Looks like a freakin’ grease factory if I don’t. I may not wash it one day every other month.
What do you think people would be most shocked to discover about you? Hmm. Good question. Not sure how to answer that one. Gonna keep that one for another time.
Apr 17, 2012 @ 08:05:58
Woot! Love your answers Mel! And I know what you mean about freezing up or being a blathering goof
Apr 17, 2012 @ 09:09:29
If you were a Tarot card, which one would you be? It would have to be one that is water based, fluid, something that reflects open mindness with a tiniest hint of mischief. You’ve shared some great cards but I’m not sure which one would suit me.
What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? My favorite place would have to be Cozumel. It was beautiful, warm sand and lots of margarita (lol!!!)
What’s your favorite line or moment from a book or movie? It’s a toss up between two scenes fromt he same movie, The Matrix. Either the scene where Agent Smith has Neo pinned against the subway tracks, telling him the coming train is the sound of ineviability but Neo, being Neo, sets things straight and gets away. OR it could be the entire exchange where Neo and Trinity go rescue Morpheous. Action packed, lots of fighting and guns blazing. YEAH!!!
Do you make your bed every morning or do you not see much point? LOL!! Yes, I make it every morning.
If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would it be and why? I would want JK Rowling and Jane Austen. It would be interesting to pick the brains of two women authors from different timelines.
E-books or paper? Still love my paper, but e-books are making a big gain
Do you have a tattoo? If so, what and where? I have two tattoos, one on the upper part of each arm. One is the ying yang with dolphins and the other is my late mother’s initials.
What is an item on your ‘bucket list’? Don’t know, hadn’t really made a bucket list
What’s the last book you couldn’t put down? Lacrimosa by Christine Fonseca
Okay, be honest, how often do you wash your hair? maybe once a week
What do you think people would be most shocked to discover about you? That as much as I love my Chipmunk, there was a time I didn’t want kids. My chipmunk has done a wonderful job changing my mind about that for sure
Apr 17, 2012 @ 09:23:56
Fabulous answers Angela! Jane Austen and JK Rowling…that would be an interesting dinner
Apr 17, 2012 @ 14:04:24
I love the Road Runner cartoons too. I don’t think those ever get old no matter how old I get
Apr 17, 2012 @ 14:15:11
I love that the wee beasties enjoy them too, no watching in secret, LOL
Apr 17, 2012 @ 19:50:00
I love Italy. The food, culture, people, and architecture melt my heart.
Apr 17, 2012 @ 21:14:48
Italy is on my bucket list
Apr 18, 2012 @ 05:39:57
Okay, I’ve seen these around quite a bit lately, so I’ll give it a go.
If you were a Tarot card, which one would you be? Two of Cups (It’s feast or famine with me but lot’s of contentment)
What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? Gettysburg, PA (It’s a ‘thin place’)
What’s your favorite line or moment from a book or movie? I can’t say what my fave line is but the first thing that comes to my mind is (and excuse the spelling) ‘fudderwacken’ from Alice in Wonderland, I use it in a harsh sentence or statement when I’m feeling angry or overwhelmed
Do you make your bed every morning or do you not see much point? Yes I make my bed every morning. I have 5 cats and they sleep there but I don’t like the fact of crawling into a bed with cat dander and toy mice.
If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would it be and why? George Carlin – I think we have the (or had rather) the same opinions about the world. He just makes sense.
E-books or paper? E-books – save a tree, but I do like my small collection of Nora Roberts in paper
Do you have a tattoo? If so, what and where? Not yet but I’m thinking about it for someday, maybe, I don’t like pain.
What is an item on your ‘bucket list’? tour the thin places in Ireland and see the Grand Canyon
What’s the last book you couldn’t put down? any and all of Nora Roberts – she’s my jealous inspiration
Okay, be honest, how often do you wash your hair? I’m a smoker so it’s everyday
What do you think people would be most shocked to discover about you? I’m from another planet.
Apr 18, 2012 @ 07:11:42
I so hear you on not wanting to crawl into bed with pet dander and toys! And George Carlin…awesome choice. Okay, which planet are you from?
Apr 18, 2012 @ 16:05:40
A little planet called Maryland
Apr 18, 2012 @ 17:36:39
Ah-yes, I have visited the Silver Springs of that planet
Apr 18, 2012 @ 05:52:05
Great answers. I also love watching old Road-Runner/Wyle E. Coyote cartoons – and Foghorn Leghorn…I always liked him, too. I bought a Looney Toons Collection…and still watch my favorite…Bugs Bunny. They really were made for adults.
As for your passing on….I can’t say I’ll post the entire set…but certified bed maker, here…I hate an unmade bed. Also…in winter, I only wash my hair about once a week. My hair and scalp are very dry. I actually put a special oil in my hair every day to make it shiny and smooth! People gasp when I reveal this, but I’m guessing there are many others with hair like mine and we simply cannot wash it everyday – or our hair would be dried out like hay.
Weird little fact about myself there….ha!
Apr 18, 2012 @ 07:17:12
I have really fine hair and I used to wash it everyday just so it wasn’t a limp mass of blah on my head. As I’ve aged that has changed to an average every third day. So yes, you adding oil surprises me
Apr 18, 2012 @ 10:05:07
The Princess Bride: Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
Apr 18, 2012 @ 10:17:28
Good one! Of course, The Princess Bride is FULL of awesome lines
Apr 18, 2012 @ 17:48:11
Oh, I love the line from the Princess Bride! And I love Wile E Coyote! What a fun post and fun comments, too!
Apr 19, 2012 @ 07:01:55
Thanks for stopping by Lynette.
Apr 19, 2012 @ 13:51:23
You asked such good questions. I have to answer #3, favorite line from a movie because I just used this the other day.
It’s from Aliens 2
Nuke’m from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
That pretty much takes care of a lot of problems.
Apr 19, 2012 @ 15:07:35
LOL, yep, that would about cover it!
Apr 23, 2012 @ 22:49:36
I’m going to write up my replies for a blog post later this month… thanks for the blog fodder! I’m trying to get ahead of schedule, so this is great timing.
Apr 24, 2012 @ 07:46:21
Awesome, I’ll be watching for it Nicole
Apr 29, 2012 @ 22:38:26
Love the answers, lady! I love Wile E. too, as do the kids. Funny how some things are timeless. A ta-ta line up? That reminds me of that movie Porky’s! Thank you for a chance to get to know you better.
Apr 30, 2012 @ 06:59:25
Definitely fun stuff
May 05, 2012 @ 10:25:11
I have to admit that I still like Ford Prefect as a character name from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe.
As to your Q’s:
1.If you were a Tarot card, which one would you be? No idea. I know nothing about Tarot cards, unless it’s from Live and Let Die (James Bond).
2.What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? My favorite place is always the beach. The most memorable trip I took was to Mexico City, however.
3.What’s your favorite line or moment from a book or movie? Such a tough one! I can’t say it’s my favorite but I love A Room with a View and still adore that scene where he kisses her in the field.
4.Do you make your bed every morning or do you not see much point? I straighten the covers. Does that count?
5.If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would it be and why? Just one? Perhaps I’d go with the Apostle Peter or maybe Winston Churchill.
6.E-books or paper? Paper.
7.Do you have a tattoo? If so, what and where? Nope. Not gonna happen.
8.What is an item on your ‘bucket list’? Take tap dancing.
9.What’s the last book you couldn’t put down? I don’t know. Maybe RED by Kait Nolan.
10.Okay, be honest, how often do you wash your hair? Daily. I have straight, fine hair and live in humidity central (southeast Texas).
11.What do you think people would be most shocked to discover about you? Wow. So personal. I don’t know.
Interesting Q’s, Raelyn!
May 05, 2012 @ 10:27:45
Great answers Julie! Thanks for playing
May 09, 2012 @ 17:33:30
Just returned from a long trip to the UK, and it’s probably my favourite place ever to travel in!
May 09, 2012 @ 18:39:56
Oh yeah, I’m with you on the UK. I’m ready to go back!
