Today’s prompt is 10 books on our re-read list.
I don’t re-read as much as I used to, but there are a few I return to like old friends 🙂
- Anything by Karen Marie Moning
- Splendor
by Catherine Hart
- The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
- Morning Glory
by LaVyrle Spencer
- The Arthurian Saga
by Mary Stewart
- True Believers
by Maria Zannini (while I love everything she writes this is the one I keep coming back to)
- The Christmas Box
by Richard Paul Evans
- Anything by Joely Sue Burkhart
- Somewhere In Time
by Richard Matheson
- And the list would not be complete without my favorite story of all time: The Phantom of the Opera
by Gaston Leroux
What’s a re-read favorite of yours?
Great list! However, I’ve only read one of those–Somewhere in Time–and I read that one back in college. I have re-read several books, including Til We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis; The Awakening by Kate Chopin; and A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (how’s that for range? LOL). But someday, I’d like to re-read some of the classics I loved in high school and college, like Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Dracula by Bram Stoker. Plus, I’d love to revisit my middle school/teenage favorite authors like Laura Ingalls Wilder and Judy Blume. I wonder what I’d think of Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret nowadays. 🙂
The only CS Lewis I’ve re-read is Narnia Chronicles, though I think The Screwtape Letters was calling to me over the weekend 🙂 Now, Hitchiker’s is something I’ve been meaning to read. I’ve seen the movie but never picked up the book. Must correct that!
Thanks for sharing Julie!
I haven’t done much in the way of rereading except for C.S. Lewis’s Narnia Chronicles. I did pick up and read Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret and couldn’t help realizing how simple and pleasant a read it was, which is great because I recall loving it as a kid.
Isn’t it wonderful when our childhood loves still hold their salt?

Hm, I haven’t read any of those. I enjoy re-reading Dee Henderson’s The O’Malley series sometimes, and Francine Rivers’s A Voice in the Wind. But my all time re-read pal is The Pursuit of God by A. W. Tozer. I re-read that 70-page book every couple months.
I’ve heard of A Voice in the Wind but haven’t read it yet. I remember having it in my hands once from the library and running out of time to read it, LOL.
Thanks for sharing Angela!
I have to say, you have great taste, like me 🙂
About a month ago, I downloaded The Outlander free at audible.com. I haven’t listened to it, yet, because I’m waiting for pellet stove and hot cocoa weather!
Outlander may be my favorite of the series, it is certainly the one I’ve read the most, LOL. I do a major re-read to prep each new release, which given the size of these books can mean a year or so of reading! I may have to try the audio books next re-read 🙂
Thanks for sharing Audrey!
Two mentions in one week. 🙂
True Believers was the first book I ever wrote, but not the first one published. I still have hopes of putting the sequel out once I get the rights to this one back. You’ll be the first to get a copy too.
Thank you.
I think I knew True Believers was your first, though it certainly doesn’t read like one 🙂 However, a sequel? You made my day, even if I have to wait for years until you get your rights back.
And thank YOU.
