What I See:

Gaian-Tarot-Elder-EarthWhat, er, who I see is Maria Zannini, though I’m not sure she spins wool…yet 😉 Maria embodies this card. She’s homesteading, doing her share to minimize her footprint on Mother Earth. The colors on this card makes me think of autumn. The wheelbarrow is full of apples, speaking to this woman reaping what she sowed. I see gentleness and strength, represented by the deer in the background.

The book talks about the Three Fates: She Who Spins, She Who Weaves, and She Who Cuts the Thread of Life. “She will play each of those roles in turn, but as for today, she spins.”

What about a pioneer, or homesteading, tale? Maybe a time-travel story. Or, perhaps a commune or native peoples whose life centers on Mother Earth, Gaia.

Maybe a retelling of Sleeping Beauty, or some other tale involving a spinning wheel. Perhaps explore the Three Fates. Or any of the Triple Goddess tales.

How about a self-made man story? A philanthropist? Perhaps your tale explores the flip side, the miser or someone “who is seeking to prove their worth by showing off their wealth.”
