And I’m updating my goals. My initial plan to draft the Steampunk story in January and edit it in February was too much pressure. Thus I just want to get the draft completed this Round.
On to ROW80
Yearly Goals
- I have once again registered on Goodreads to read 100 books. However, this may change as I plan to put writing before reading this year.
- Lose 50 pounds. I slacked off the last part of 2013, ’nuff said. – Scale purchased. First weigh-in this morning.
Quarterly (AKA ROW80) Goals
- Draft the Steampunk story I attempted for NaNo 2013. Oh, and figure out a title.
- Read Who Are You in the Tarot?
by Mary K. Greer and do the applicable exercises. – Still pending.
Monthly Goals
- Read, at least, one paper book. With the ease of carrying my eReaders around my poor paper books have been neglected. – Goal attained for January. Read Desire’s Edge
by Eden Bradley writing as Eve Berlin this week.
- At least, one date night with That Man. – Still pending.
Weekly Goals:
- Spend a minimum of 3 hours per week on writing. – Target attained.
- Maintain 3 blog posts per week. – Target attained.
- Visit and comment on at least 12 blogs per week, 3 of which HAVE to be ROW80 blogs. – Target attained (15/6 ROW blogs).
- Connect on Facebook and Twitter with, at least, one non-blog post or share per week. – Not attained.
- Maintain books read on Goodreads. – Target attained.
- Exercise 3 times per week. – Not attained.

The color is back just for you, Nicole 😉
Should we play some ominous music when you first get on the scale? That’s what I always here when I get on mine. LOL!
It was more along the lines of Chariots of Fire, LOL. Now I have a starting point though.
Thanks for swinging by Maria.
LOL @ Chariots of Fire, Raelyn 🙂 Now you know where to start and where you ARE going to. Looking forward to seeing you attain your goals.
Exactly, now I can actually plot my course 🙂
Thanks for swinging by Angela.
Yay color! Oooh, and you added purple! 🙂
Have a great week! It sounds like scaling back to ease the pressure was a good idea. Pressure doesn’t always work for a draft — sometimes you need the breathing room.
Yellow for the pending didn’t show up so hello purple 🙂
Yeah, I was making myself crazy and you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time, though why anyone would want to eat an elephant…
Thanks for swinging by Nicole.
Penning an entire draft in a month sounds like a lot of pressure. I’m not sure I could do something like that on a regular basis. I also need time off once I write the first draft. If I revise when it’s too fresh, I end up leaving stuff in that could’ve been taken out and taking out perfectly good writing that could’ve stayed in with a few tweaks here and there.
Good luck with your goals! Exercise-wise, I’m attempting to learn tai chi this year. It is not as easy as looks. I’m not sure that I’m burning many calories but man, my brain is getting a workout memorizing all those “flows.” 🙂
I’ve done it before and I agree on a regular basis it doesn’t fly but I need to jump start the writing end of things this year.
Thanks for swinging by Denise.
