I have something chocolaty to share with you today.
Because mixing my favorite dessert, pie, with chocolate makes it a double favorite.
I don’t even have a name for this pie. The wee beasties call it Brownie Pie so we’ll go with that 🙂 It’s rich. It’s chocolaty. It’s nutty. Top it with a dollop of whipped cream. Serve it with milk! It’s yummy.
Prepare your pie crust.
Start by melting a 1/4 cup of butter. In a bowl mix together 1 cup of sugar with 3 1/2 tablespoons of cocca and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Stir in the melted butter until everything is combined. Add 2 eggs, one at a time and mix well after each one. Stir in 6 ounces of evaporated milk and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Fold in 3/4 cup of coarsely chopped pecans. Pour into your pie crust and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
