I know. Blah title.
I broke down and bought a new laptop last weekend. So not in the budget. Cries. Thus I spent a good chunk of today transferring files and cleaning up the old laptop for the wee beasties. Quite frankly, I’m feeling a wee uninspired as I write up this post.
Yearly Goals
- I have once again registered on Goodreads to read 100 books. However, this may change as I plan to put writing before reading this year.
- Lose 50 pounds. I slacked off the last part of 2013, ’nuff said. – Down 1.4 pounds and that includes indulging in National Pie Day this week. Thank you portion control 🙂
Quarterly (AKA ROW80) Goals
- Draft the Steampunk story I attempted for NaNo 2013. Oh, and figure out a title.
- Read Who Are You in the Tarot?
by Mary K. Greer and do the applicable exercises. – Still pending.
Monthly Goals
- Read, at least, one paper book. With the ease of carrying my eReaders around my poor paper books have been neglected. – Goal attained for January. Read Desire’s Edge
by Eden Bradley writing as Eve Berlin this week.
- At least, one date night with That Man. – Goal attained for January. We had a nice dinner out Friday.
Weekly Goals:
- Spend a minimum of 3 hours per week on writing. – Not attained. Mostly due to the laptop situation.
- Maintain 3 blog posts per week. – Target attained.
- Visit and comment on at least 12 blogs per week, 3 of which HAVE to be ROW80 blogs. – Target attained (24/3 ROW blogs).
- Connect on Facebook and Twitter with, at least, one non-blog post or share per week. – Target attained.
- Maintain books read on Goodreads. – Target attained.
- Exercise 3 times per week. – Not attained.

I have that tarot book but I haven’t even read it yet, and I had planned to do it as soon as I bought it, but like so many books I’ve purchased over the years I put it on the shelf and promptly forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder about it.
Well, as you can see Diana, I haven’t started yet either, LOL I did skim through it when I got it though.
Thanks for stopping by.
You’ve got a lot done. And the process of transferring files and getting the old laptop ready for the wee beasties is no laughing matter. I wonder if that could go under “mental exercise – exhausted”?
It’s definitely a mental exhaustion, LOL. The wee beasties better appreciate my efforts!
Thanks for stopping by Angela.
You need to add a tab for Unexpected Obligations. 🙂
I hate transferring files (and software) with a passion. It’s an all day affair and it gives me a headache. So you have my complete sympathy and empathy. But at least you got a new laptop out of it.
You deserve some more pie.
Unexpected Obligations, hmm 🙂
The transferring wasn’t too bad once I got the old laptop to acknowledge the transfer cord. Grr. I’m glad I waited till Saturday to attempt it though.
Ref: pie
Don’t tempt me, LOL. I have enough to make another of those Brownie Pies and the ingredients are taunting me.
Thanks for stopping by Maria.
Great job, all things considered! I hate the wrench that a new computer throws into plans, but I do love the shiny newness of it all…. Take the good with the bad, I suppose!
Oh, yes, there is definitely new shiny love going on. Who know an extra inch would make such a difference 😉
Thanks for stopping by Nicole.
100 books would be amazing! I’ve listed my challenge as just 35, and am already behind (I blame Anna Karenina… that is a difficult book to complete in 1.5 weeks.) So best of luck with it.
I have my doubts I’ll make it this year as I need to put writing at the top of the list 🙂 You’re right Anna Karenina is a tough one to rush through.
Thanks for stopping by Buffy.
