Brigid’s Cross ~ Source
We’re a month into 2015… If you missed making New Year’s resolutions, goals, a bucket list, now is your chance to state intentions. If you need to look into the future or past, now is an ideal time. This is a celebration of the first signs of Spring. This is a celebration of “the return of light” with the days noticeably getting longer. This is Imbolc. Pronounced IM-bulk or EM-bowlk and meaning “ewes milk,” Imbolc happens between February 2nd and 7th. It’s a Cross Quarter Day, falling midway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Quarter days (Samhain, Beltaine, Imbolc, and Lughnasa) are recognized as doorways into the Otherworlds. Many associate Brigid with Imbolc. She is light and regeneration and often candles are lit in her honor, similar to Candlemas. Imbolc represents the Goddess changing from Crone to Maiden. Imbolc is found in the Eighth, or crown chakra, and is our connection to our inner self and divine consciousness. Let’s throw open the windows and let in the fresh air, welcoming Imbolc. Reawaken the opportunities of 2015. You might also like:

Thanks for swinging by Angela…I promise to get over to your place soon!
I am ready for spring. And at my age, any kind of rejuvenation is welcome. LOL!
We certainly haven’t been hit with the winter some folks have but I’m ready for some warmth during my morning walks. Of course, I’ll be wishing for the coolness in four months so can’t win for losing, LOL.
Thanks for stopping by Maria. I will get over to your place soon 🙂
