Did anyone not grow up with Dr. Seuss?
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.
~Dr. Seuss
I remember spending hours reading Dr. Seuss as a kid. The wee beasties have spent hours reading Dr. Seuss.
We’re in the midst of a week-long celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday via the elementary school and we’ve pulled out all the stops. We have hats. We have books. We have movies. We have green eggs and ham…
Reading How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a Christmas Eve tradition in our house.
Littlest wee beastie’s favorite: Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!
#3 wee beastie’s favorite: The Cat in the Hat
#2 wee beastie’s favorite: The Lorax
Oldest wee beastie’s favorite: Horton Hears a Who!
My favorite: Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
My childhood wasn’t all roses and glam, but we definitely had Dr. Seuss and his green eggs and ham. It was wonderful reliving some of my own Dr. Seuss joys when my own Chipmunk went through her Dr. Seuss phase 🙂
She had a stage? #3 still reads Dr. Seuss and he’s 11, LOL. In his defense, though, I think he’s also collecting them.
Thanks for sharing Angela 🙂
Oddly enough I never read Dr. Seuss until my younger siblings started reading it. I think by the time his books got popular, I was still trying to master the English language so i was a little slow on the draw. But my favorite was Green Eggs and Ham.
Still counts in my book, Maria.
Classic 🙂 I made green eggs and ham for the family Sunday…so much fun.
Thanks for sharing.
